Mount Vernon was recommended to me by a friend of mine who spent quite a few years living in D.C. It's a gorgeous property, and I was told that they host wine tasting events in the Spring/Summer out on the lawn. I know what I'm doing this summer!

After Mount Vernon, we went to Old Town Alexandria for some dinner and drinks. It's such a cute place and I would love to check it out during the day.
